Description:
The Loyola University Medical Education Network (LUMEN) presents this anatomy tutorial. The site is divided up into categories of cross-sectional images of the human body: Head and Neck, Upper Limb, male and female Thorax, Abdomen, male and female Pelvis, and Lower Limb. By clicking on each section, users select a cross-section of that part of the anatomy, and by clicking on each number, can find out the specific name of that area. Users can also choose to see an illustration of the area (by choosing “Image”), or an image from a CAT scan (by choosing “CT”). This is an excellent resource for students in any health care or allied medical field, including nursing or nurses’ aides, patient care assistants, and diagnostic imaging technicians.
